The Negative Impacts of One Broadway Plaza on Downtown Traffic

Posted in Downtown by Omar Ávalos Gallegos on June 9, 2010

It makes good sense to have the proposed railway in place before the tower is built. Look at all of the traffic during rush hour that passes through Santa Ana and surrounding freeways. Much of that traffic goes in and out of Santa Ana because of the many county jobs in the city. Now imagine if the railway were in place. That railway would alleviate much of the traffic coming in and out of the Downtown and Civic Center, where most of the county jobs are at.

Traffic is already pretty bad. Add a tower to that mix, without an improved transportation infrastructure to mitigate new and increased traffic and what do you get?
